There’s so much talk around these days about enlightened masters and gurus. It’s common knowledge that should you accept one as your own personal guide, they’ll make sure you assist you to together with your personal development. It almost makes you’re feeling compelled to have a teacher!
My theory is that people don’t all need teachers, but we all have to be students. It’s humbling. And being humble may be the opening to a greater discovery.
But in my experience not just humans are great teachers. Pets and animals are great teachers too. So are mountains, oceans, deserts and flowers. All life is pulsing with teaching. We simply need to be open and have the guidance.
Horses are healing creatures and teach us to possess faith and trust, develop our leading abilities and stay committed to your vision. This happens, i think, even on tough days when nothing generally seems to work course in miracles books. They could teach us, such noble beings since they are, that people can love unconditionally, share freely, communicate openly and create cooperatively. To truly have the ultimate relationship with a horse there must be no hidden agendas, no limitations on love and no withholding of anything.
Now that can be tough, but we have a choice in these matters. All decisions and choices we make may produce a critical impact and can create a fantastic influence on our lives. Like, if we choose to be scared, we WILL be scared. Let’s face it, in the long run there’s nothing really to forget of, unless we DECIDE that there is. But we could allow it to be up and we could pretend. You see, all beings reflect what and who we’re in relationships – horses are no exception. Remember that the planet was designed for us so that people may have a context within which to experience ourselves as who we really are.
It’s fundamental to realise that people are truly connected with everything and everyone. What is good for you may not be good for your horse. What’s bad for you may not be also bad for your horse. It’s not that you could only change your horse’s behaviour; your horse can influence you to change your own behaviour. My horse has been one of my greatest teachers. When I work and play with him, my every thought, word and deed is reflected. It’s not just a revolution on how exactly we use horses that is needed, it’s a revolution of the mind that people must certanly be having. It is our convinced that we must change.
